BEST CHOCOLATE CELEBRATION EVER!!!
This year's Samaritan Caregiver's Chocolate Celebration turned out to be the lucky 13th! No snow and the largest crowd ever chowed down on a record high 4745 chocolate treats, generating $14,000 to help needy seniors!
Heartfelt thanks to our sponsors who made significant contributions to this year's event: J. Edwards Fine Chocolates, Gourmet Cakes & Unique Gifts, Haynes International and Indiana American Water.
Those who attended found more chocolate than ever from 32 contributors of scrumptious chocolate: A Michael's, Aperion Care, Avon, Balanced Elements Therapeutic Massage, Bob Evans, Bona Vista, Community Howard Regional Health, Create-A-Cake, Crossroads Community Church, Dreams to Reality Cakes, Gingerbread House Bakery, Girl Scout Troop 4434, Indulgence Bakery, J. Edwards Fine Chocolates, Jefferson Manor, Kokomo Confectioners' Company (Kokomo Area Career Center Baking/Pastry), Kroger - Maplecrest, Krush Nail & Hair Salon, Love-on-a Leash, Miller's Merry Manor, Old World Fudge, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, PASTArrific, Primrose Retirement Community, St. Joseph Hospital, Security Federal, Sunspot Natural Market, Velata, Waterford Place, Wildtree, Windmill Grill and Xocai---The Healthy Chocolate Company.
Success would not have been possible without the valuable assistance from: Kokomo's First Church of the Nazarene, Grace United Methodist Church Women, Horoho Printing, American Tool & Party Rental, Huston Signs, Kokomo Men of Note, Kokomo Herald, Kokomo Perspective, Kokomo Tribune, Shine 99, WGNR, WWKI, Z92.5, Howard County Sheriff's Department, Kokomo Noon Kiwanis, Scared Rabbit Productions, St. Joseph Hospital, Get Secure Solutions and Midwest Living.
The event ran flawlessly thanks to tremendous assistance from Sherry Otto and Dean Despinoy, Samaritan Caregivers Board Members and Chocolate Celebration Co-Chairs, with a crew of over 50 volunteers, including local personalities (listed below) who served as judges.
And the biggest thank you of all to everyone who bought and ate chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! Because of you, we provide help and hope to needy seniors!
