Even the snowiest winter on record couldn't keep chocolate lovers away from Kokomo's First Church of the Nazarene during Samaritan Caregivers 12th annual Chocolate Celebration. Over 3500 tickets were redeemed by people relieving their weather-related stress, raising $13,000 to help people 65 and over living at home in Howard County.

Making substantial contributions were sponsors: J. Edwards Fine Chocolates, Gourmet Cakes & Unique Gifts; Haynes International and Indiana American Water.

Other valuable assistance came from: Kokomo's First Church of the Nazarene, Horoho Printing, Coca-Cola of Kokomo, American Tool & Party Rental, R.D. Filip, St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo Men of Note, Kokomo Herald, Kokomo Perspective, Kokomo Tribune, Shine 99, WFRN, WGNR, WWKI, Z92.5, Howard County Sheriff's Department, Kokomo Noon Kiwanis, Scared Rabbit Productions and Grace United Methodist Church Women.

The event ran flawlessly thanks to tremendous involvement from Chocolate Committee Chair, Dean Despinoy, and more than 50 volunteers, including area media reps, who served as judges.

Cheers to each person who chowed down on chocolate! Because of you, Samaritan Caregivers makes a difference every day!

Check out the listing below of the 2014 judges, participants and winners, with several day-of-event photos.

Next year's Chocolate Celebration is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2015. We hope to see you there to enjoy chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate!
